What are the Benefits of Laser Therapy?

The term LASER is an abbreviated form of the Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. It gives an improvement of particular properties of light energy. Laser light will function as per the fundamental laws of light, in that it travels in straight lines at a consistent velocity in space. It can be broadcaster, reflected, refracted, and absorbed. Cancer cells cannot survive the heat. Lasers can be used to heat cancer cells, which destroys them and contracts tumors.

A laser cluster probe will normally include both higher and lower power emitters of varying wavelengths. The output may be constant or pulsed, with narrow pulse widths (in the nano or microsecond ranges) and an extensive assortment of pulse repetition rates from 2Hz up to numerous thousand Hz.

  1. IR (infra-red) single laser probes are beneficial for pain relief and deep musculoskeletal disorders (e.g. joint, tendon, bone).
  2. IR (infra-red) laser clusters are also suitable for pain relief and deep musculoskeletal disorders over larger areas.
  3. Red single laser probes are ideal for wound healing and dermatology.
